“Size matters not. Look at me. Judge me by my size, do you? Hmm? Hmm.
And well you should not. For my ally is the Force, and a powerful ally it is.
Life creates it, makes it grow. Its energy surrounds us and binds us.
Luminous beings are we, not this crude matter. You must feel the Force
around you; here, between you, me, the tree, the rock, everywhere, yes.
Even between the land and the ship.”

Yoda, to Luke Skywalker
The fictional little green alien in Star Wars had a monumental task – to train brash,
cocky young Luke Skywalker in the ways of “The Force”. The Force is never defined
because it is undefinable. It just is. The challenge for Yoda was to take this smart
and talented man and help him discover his inner WISDOM.
We are living in a world of knowledge – exploding knowledge. We can search that
knowledge base instantly and learn from people all over the world. School, college
and work are based on knowledge. How to do things is important, but knowledge and
wisdom are totally different. Wisdom rarely comes from the classroom, blogs or videos.
Sometimes it comes from experience, sometimes from a wise person. But it is an internal sense.
Cindy and I were participating in an art festival in Wyandot, Michigan. It was hot
– really hot. Nobody wanted to be outside. So Cindy stayed with her art booth and
I sat under a big tree in a park along the shores of the Detroit River. I started
reading a book about intuition. I was struggling with the idea of just knowing something.
It was not something you learned, it just appeared. As I read, a young woman walked
by and suddenly a voice inside me said “Karen”. I tried to dismiss it, but I couldn’t
focus on the book I was reading.
Finally I got up and walked over to the river’s edge where the young woman was standing.
I asked her, “Does your name happen to be Karen?” She looked at me quizzically and said,
“Do I know you?” I told her I was here for the festival and didn’t know anyone in this
community. I was reading a book about intuition and as you walked by the name Karen popped
into my head. She looked at be dumbfounded as she confirmed her name was Karen. It must
have freaked her out, because she turned and walked away quickly! It was an AH-HA moment
for me. That book was suddenly much more interesting. My inner intuition had just proven itself.

It is not enough to be full of knowledge. You, your kids, your world, needs to be infused
with wisdom. This is not an easy lesson to learn or teach. Yoda had Luke put on a blast
helmet so he couldn’t see. He challenged him to feel his environment, his world, his
situation instead of just looking at it. Luke wasn’t very good defending himself from
stinging rays coming from the orb, at first. But soon he started to let go of knowledge
and just felt where he needed to have his light saber to defend himself from the orb.
He had started to trust his instincts.

Many say that we chose to come to this world at this time to experience the most
wonderful, transformative event that this world has ever known. There seems to be a
shift or transition from a world of darkness to a world of light. This is not a
political battle. This is way bigger and more than we can imagine. The Force, God,
Source, has intervened and we are moving into a higher realm of light. Those who
were of the dark have controlled this world for many years with fear, deception and
murder. It is said that those who want to remain in darkness and fear will be removed
from this world.
This won’t be an easy shift, but it will be monumental. Search for
wisdom. Teach your kids about wisdom and goodness. Consider quiet times for your
inner voice to have a chance to show you the good path. Only in the quiet.... will you
hear that voice. “Luminous beings are we.”
It’s Fun Being a Kid Again!
Let’s have some fun at Discovery Park!
That’s what good play is all about.
