I’m Expecting...

I know, I just sent you a newsletter. Why send a second one on the same day? And you can’t be pregnant! You’re so right.

I just returned from “The Great Homeschool Convention” in Cincinnati. Hundreds of seminars and vendors and thousands of parents and kids. It was exhilarating to be in the midst of such a positive and inspiring crowd. I talked with dozens of vendors, people next to me in seminars and even the author of the “Tuttle Twins.”

But one conversation really caught me off guard. It was a friend who is moving from eastern Pennsylvania to the property next to Discovery Park Ohio. You will meet him and his family soon. He flew in from Baltimore just for this event. I asked him why he came. He couldn’t tell me. He was just expecting someone or something to change his life here and it would “find” him.

That is a profound thought. Can we open our heart to what life is putting in front of us and see the gifts? My life was moved by one seminar speaker. His thoughts about life and learning were so similar to mine. We talked extensively, one on one, after his presentation and everyone else had left the hall. I am expecting great things from this chance encounter.

This raises the whole question of “manifestation.” Can we “create” the world we live in just by “dreaming it” in our daily thoughts? Personally, I say YES. Every project I do starts with my awake dreaming! What kind of life do I want to live? Who needs to come into that dream to make it happen? What elements need to appear? What will take this dream to an even higher level than I imagined? I don’t physically “make it happen”. I just focus on the idea. I still have to “do life” and my part, but the vision is the daily motivation to be immersed in living.

I know the eclipse is all the talk. After it is all over and you’re back home, think about your family, your life. What would take it to the next level? Start dreaming that idea into existence. Start “expecting”!
